The next-generation logistics company Delhivery reported a 65% decline in net profit while its revenue increased by 28% for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027.
The main reason for the decrease in net profit was the costs associated with integrating the Ecomm acquisition. Net profit for the current first quarter amounted to 32 crore rupees, compared to 91 crore rupees for the same period last year. Revenue for this period reached 2,931 crore rupees against 2,294 crore rupees in the first quarter of fiscal year 2026.
In the first quarter, the company registered 322 million express shipments, demonstrating a year-over-year (YoY) growth of 55.2%. Additionally, the freight of partial truckloads (PTL) grew by 18.4% year-over-year.
In its report, Delhivery noted that the increase in transportation volumes indicates sustained market share growth and high customer demand. The company specified that this growth occurred both through existing customers and by attracting new clients in the D2C, SME, and consumer goods segments.
The company forecasts the continuation of this positive momentum and expects overall express volume growth in fiscal year 2027 to be between 20% and 30%. Delhivery also stated that investments in expanding the geographical reach of business development teams contributed to accelerating the acquisition of new clients, in addition to growth among existing customers. The company expressed confidence in achieving an overall volume growth target of 18-22% in fiscal year 2027, provided profitability continues to improve.
Concurrently, the company announced the promotion of Vani Venkatesh to the position of Deputy CEO, effective immediately. Ms. Venkatesh joined the company in February 2025 as Director of Business Development and Key Managerial Personnel, overseeing revenue functions. In her expanded role, she will oversee revenue, marketing, and customer experience, working closely with Delhivery's operations teams.
It was also announced that Ajit Pai, Director of Operations and Key Managerial Personnel, would be leaving his position.
