Ford is planning to introduce an unprecedented four-door version of the Mustang, which represents a significant alteration for a vehicle historically associated with coupes and convertibles. As reported by The Wall Street Journal, this novelty was shown to dealerships and may be available on the market by the end of this decade.

The objective of this proposal is to expand the target audience of the sports car, aiming at consumers who appreciate the Mustang's style but require greater functionality and space for daily use. The model's design could preserve its current aesthetic while incorporating a hybrid system.

This four-door Mustang would be a debut for Ford after more than sixty years of the car's existence. Since its launch in 1964, the car has established itself as one of the biggest icons of the American automotive industry, holding great relevance in popular culture and competitions.

The prototype displayed to retailers has a look similar to the current generation of the Mustang. However, Ford has not officially confirmed the production of this model.

A Ford spokesperson stated that the company does not comment or speculate on future products when questioned about this project.

Besides the format modification, the powertrain is another relevant aspect. Two sources informed the newspaper that the four-door Mustang would come equipped with hybrid technology. One of these sources mentioned the possibility of using a hybrid V8 engine, thus preserving the high-performance heritage of the line.

The Ministry of Economy and Territorial Cohesion reported that Portugal received a tranche of €2.32 billion from the European Commission today. These funds are part of the ninth payment request under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).

Thanks to this payment, the total amount received by Portugal has reached approximately €17.23 billion, which accounts for 79% of the total PRR funding.

The statement indicates that this payment resulted from the European Commission's approval of the 51st milestone and objective related to the ninth request. This reflects progress in implementing reforms and investments in key areas such as the energy transition, decarbonization, innovation, human resource upskilling, and modernization of public administration.

The Minister of Economy and Territorial Cohesion, Castro Almeida, noted that this payment confirms the country's commitment to the obligations undertaken with the European Commission. He also believes that the country has entered a crucial phase to complete the PRR on schedule and ensure that these exceptional investments fully realize their goals, including the modernization, competitiveness, and cohesion of Portugal.

This payment is the penultimate one, as Portugal still needs to submit the tenth and final request for funds under the PRR.
