The Indian market is seeing an improvement in the sales of small cars, and Maruti Suzuki is benefiting most from this. In July, the company sold a total of 2,41 vehicles, including those for the domestic market and exports.
Regarding small models, the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 has entered the list of the 15 best-selling cars. 12,534 units of this model were sold in July. This represents an approximate sales growth of 112% for the Alto compared to July of last year.
In July 2025, Maruti sold 5,910 units of this car, whereas in the current July, the figure reached 12,534. The Alto K10 is the second most affordable car from Maruti Suzuki; the cheaper S-Presso sells significantly less than the Alto K10.
The Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is available in both petrol and CNG variants. The price starts from 3.69 lakh for the exterior version, while the top-end petrol version costs 5.44 lakh. For the CNG model, the price starts from 4.81 lakh and reaches 5.31 lakh.
The car is available in various color options. In terms of appearance, it is equipped with a honeycomb-style grille and a rear parking sensor with 13-inch wheels. The interior features an audio system with steering wheel controls and voice control.
The car is fitted with a digital display speedometer and the SmartPlay Studio system, which supports smartphone navigation functions. The vehicle is offered with both manual and automatic transmissions.
The Alto K10 is equipped with a 998 cc engine that generates 68 hp. The petrol version provides a fuel economy of 24.90 kilometers per liter, while the CNG variant produces 56 hp and has a consumption of 33.85 kilometers per kilogram.
A key feature is the presence of six standard airbags, ensuring safety even in the base configuration. A rear parking sensor is also integrated into the car. The vehicle is built on the HEARTECT platform and comes with standard electronic stability control.
