The idea arose that satellites could connect to a power source similar to a power bank instead of drifting after fuel depletion. This concept is the basis of the work of a Bangalore-based startup that creates 'jetpack'-type satellites.
These satellites are designed to attach to aging spacecraft, take over propulsion functions, and ensure the continued operation of these multi-million dollar assets for a longer period.
The company plans to focus its efforts on geostationary communication satellites, the cost of which often exceeds 300 million US dollars, and whose annual revenue is quite significant.
