Nitesh Tiwari's film 'Ramayana' is generating significant buzz, and its trailer is gaining popularity worldwide. In this movie, Ranbir Kapoor plays the role of Lord Rama. In one interview, the actor shared an interesting detail from behind the scenes of the shoot.
Ranbir revealed that he wore rubber slippers during the filming. Discussing this with Screen Rant, the actor explained that in some scenes, he needed to appear barefoot. He noted that, in his opinion, no one would know about this because it wouldn't be visible on screen. According to the plot, Lord Rama's brothers leave his slippers on the throne, and they must remain there throughout the 14 years of exile.
However, as Ranbir explained, shooting on uneven surfaces without shoes was difficult. Therefore, he had to wear slippers, which turned out to be ordinary rubber ones. These slippers were so hidden in the frame that they could easily be removed using visual effects. According to the actor, wearing rubber footwear helped him endure long hours of shooting more easily, but viewers will always see Lord Rama barefoot.
The trailer demonstrates the immense effort Ranbir put into the role of Rama. Namit Malhotra, the film's producer, stated that Ranbir Kapoor has always been his first choice for the role of Rama. Sai Pallavi plays Sita in the film, and southern star Yash played Ravana. Sunny Deol will play Lord Hanuman. 'Ramayana' will be released in two parts under the direction of Nitesh Tiwari and is considered one of the most ambitious films in Indian cinema. The first part is planned for release in honor of Diwali this year.
