The Indian team, led by Shubman Gill, is preparing to participate in two practice matches against Sri Lanka, starting on August 15th. India's main concern relates to the number 3 batting position. Sai Sudarshan is still recovering at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE) located in Bangalore. The team management hopes he can join the squad in time, but there are no guarantees of his participation in the first test.
