Archaeologists have discovered the remains of walls at the ancient archaeological site of Kubbo. These walls date from the period between the 3rd century BCE and the 10th century CE, according to the press service of the Fergana Regional Administration.
The excavations were conducted by researchers from the Fergana State University in collaboration with the Luyang Institute of Archaeology in China.
According to data from the Fergana State University, this research is part of a joint project implemented within the framework of the Fergana-Shanxi Archaeological Research Center, established at the university.
The university noted that the found archaeological artifacts cover a long historical period—from the 3rd century BCE to the 10th century CE. Furthermore, the Fergana State University emphasized that this discovery represents unique material evidence of cultural exchange between East and West throughout the history of the Great Silk Road.
