Startup E3 Electric.Ai, based in Bangalore, has released a new electric scooter. The brand introduced the E3 Trion model, which the company positions as an affordable family electric vehicle. This electric scooter is available in three different configurations, each differing in battery and additional features.
According to the company's statements, the scooter is equipped with artificial intelligence (AI)-based smart functions. Furthermore, its design is based on a modular platform, setting it apart from competitors. The starting price for the E3 Electric.Ai Trion is 100,000 rupees at the Bangalore showroom.
The model is offered in six color options: Solar Red, Mist Green, Graphite Grey, Nova Blue, Teal Blue, and Luna White. The three versions—C1, C1 X, and C2—have the following prices: C1 costs 99,999 rupees at the showroom, C1 X is 1.10 lakh rupees at the showroom, and the top version C2 is 1.20 lakh rupees at the showroom. Pre-orders are already open in Bangalore, and the company offers an extended warranty of 8 years or up to 100,000 kilometers.
The base version C1 is equipped with a removable 2.3 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery. In contrast, versions C1 X and C2 feature a larger, fixed 3 kWh battery that cannot be removed from the scooter. All three modifications use a PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) drive.
Although the manufacturer did not disclose motor performance data, the claimed range for the C1 X model is 165 kilometers. Information regarding the range of the base C1 model was not provided. The top variant C2 is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 82 kilometers per hour and accelerates from 0 to 40 kilometers per hour in just 6 seconds.
Models C1 and C1 X offer Eco and Power modes, while C2 includes a sport mode. The scooter has 14-inch wheels. The company claims this scooter is the first in India equipped with AI power.
Functionally, the scooter includes the E3 Command Center, which uses vehicle and cloud data for monitoring. Based on this data, the system issues maintenance and diagnostic alerts. It is also equipped with a 5-inch LCD display and a TripSense system that connects to the driver's phone and provides various information.
Additional features include a route planner indicating charging station locations, navigation, remote battery monitoring, vehicle control, geofencing, an SOS assistant, and a dashcam. The scooter can perform vehicle diagnostics in just 10 seconds.
