The process of transitioning various facilities to an updated two-stage gas supply system has begun in the city of Tashkent. This system is designed to ensure more stable pressure in gas networks and minimize the probability of failures during periods of high load.
As part of this project, specialized gas pressure regulators are being installed in residential buildings and other structures. Currently, such devices have been installed at 5,649 facilities.
The initial plan provided for equipping 5,484 facilities with regulators, but the actual number of completed works turned out to be 165 addresses higher than planned. These special installations are necessary to maintain the required level of gas pressure and ensure a stable fuel supply to end-users.
It is expected that the implementation of the new gas supply scheme will significantly increase the reliability of gas supply and reduce the chances of interruptions, especially during the autumn-winter season when energy consumption traditionally increases. Nevertheless, the exact timeline for completing the full modernization of gas supply across all of Tashkent has not yet been determined.
Furthermore, there was previously information that natural gas supply to greenhouse farms in Tashkent and several districts of the Tashkent region was suspended starting August 1.

City authorities emphasized that this modernization will allow for constant gas pressure during the autumn and winter period, reduce the likelihood of supply interruptions, and provide residents with more reliable and high-quality natural gas consumption services.
The Svetanet.uz project published statistics regarding power supply interruptions in the capital of Uzbekistan during July 2026. According to information obtained from the platform, residents of Tashkent sent tens of thousands of appeals about electricity problems amid abnormally hot weather.
Data aggregated through the project's Telegram bot showed a total of 39,100 messages from users. Based on this data, 18,044 instances of power outages were accounted for, with such disruptions noted in all twelve districts of Tashkent.
These statistical figures are based solely on appeals from citizens received via the specified Telegram bot and demonstrate the significant scale of energy supply issues in the capital during the period of maximum energy consumption. The author of the Svetanet.uz project, Shukhrat Kurbanov, emphasized that the July heat posed a serious test for the city's energy system, and the collected data allows for a clear assessment of the extent of this problem and its impact on the population.
