The main focus of the negotiations was on increasing mutual tourist flows, expanding partnerships between tour operators and airlines, and implementing joint investment and marketing projects.
The parties also discussed issues of developing human resources potential in the tourism industry. In particular, they considered the possibility of conducting professional training and experience exchange programs for hospitality specialists from Uzbekistan in Istanbul and Antalya, as well as expanding educational and applied scientific cooperation with Cappadocia University.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to bring bilateral cooperation to a new level by strengthening ties between tourism organizations, tour operators, airlines, educational institutions, and travel agencies. Furthermore, the parties agreed to hold joint forums, business meetings, and implement investment projects.
The Turkish side was also invited to participate in the International Silk Road Tourism Fair, which will take place in Tashkent in November 2026, by presenting a national pavilion.
According to Dunyo news agency, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Oibek Shahavdinov met with the Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro for Foreign and European Affairs, Filip Ivanovic.
The parties discussed the further development of political dialogue while simultaneously expanding cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, investment, and tourism.
One of the central issues was the creation of an Intergovernmental Commission. Furthermore, possibilities for strengthening direct interaction between business representatives and implementing joint projects in areas such as agriculture, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, information technology, and digitalization were discussed.
Special attention was paid to improving the legal framework and expanding partnership in the fields of labor migration, education, science, culture, and vocational training.
Participants also spoke about the need to develop transport links between the two countries and increase mutual tourist flows. At the end of the meeting, Uzbekistan and Montenegro confirmed their readiness to continue working on specific initiatives aimed at strengthening mutually beneficial partnership.

During this meeting, the parties discussed in detail the further strengthening of partnership between the two states in the field of tourism, aimed at effectively utilizing existing potential and increasing mutual tourist flows.
In particular, the participants exchanged views on promoting the tourism opportunities of both countries, increasing the number of tourist trips, expanding direct air connections, as well as developing joint work in the field of medical tourism.
The Iranian side put forward a proposal to simplify visa procedures for Iranian citizens. Furthermore, an agreement was reached on more active promotion of Uzbekistan's tourism potential in the Iranian market and continuous increase in mutual tourist exchanges, based on the rich historical and cultural heritage of the two countries.
