These tasks include guaranteed supply of basic food items such as meat, milk, eggs, fish, vegetable oil, and potatoes. It also provides for a fundamental improvement of the feed base for livestock farms, the creation of additional conditions for expanding their activities, and maintaining price stability.
From January to June 2026, the average nominal wage in Uzbekistan was 7.09 million soms, with the highest figure recorded in Tashkent.
The wage for January-June 2026 reached an average of 7,911 thousand soms nationwide. This figure exceeds the same period last year by 18.4%. For comparison, in January-June 2022, the average wage was 3,551.6 thousand soms, which represents an almost twofold increase in the average salary over four years.
When comparing by region, the highest average wage level was noted in the city of Tashkent, where it reached 12.014 million soms. Following in terms of income level is the Navoi region, where the average salary amounted to 8.723 million soms.
The lowest values for the average wage were registered in the Kashkadarya region, where it was 4.865 million soms, as well as in the Surkhandarya region, where the indicator reached 4.937 million soms.
The process of effectively working with public appeals, finding solutions to problems, and eliminating their causes plays an important role. For this reason, at the meeting of the Committee on Labor, Health, and Social Issues of the Legislative Chamber of the Supreme Assembly, information was heard regarding the handling of appeals from individuals and legal entities by various departments.
Particular attention was paid during this meeting to the appeal handling practices of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Poverty Reduction and Employment, the National Social Protection Agency, and the Migration Agency. The committee members extensively analyzed the implementation of these tasks at the local level, the quality of reviewing appeals, the practical effectiveness of adopted decisions, and the factors causing recurring appeals.
According to the data presented to the committee, during the first half of 2026, over 45 thousand appeals were received by the Ministry of Health system, nearly 54.5 thousand by the Ministry of Poverty Reduction and Employment, over 95 thousand by the National Social Protection Agency, and nearly 44.5 thousand by the Migration Agency. It was noted that positive results were achieved for the majority of these appeals.
During the discussions, deputies asked many questions regarding the nature of the appeals, the reasons for their occurrence, the situation across regions, the dynamics of recurring appeals, and the effectiveness of measures taken by the responsible agencies. Furthermore, the necessity of thoroughly studying each appeal, eliminating its causes, and preventing recurring appeals was emphasized.
It was stated that regular parliamentary oversight in this area, as well as improving legislative and practical mechanisms for continuously identifying and eliminating systemic problems, is necessary.
During the visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Jizzakh region on December 2, 2025, the tasks set for bringing engineering education to a new level, strengthening integration with production, expanding international cooperation, and training highly qualified personnel that meet labor market demands are being implemented at the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute. During the President's visit, clear instructions were given to responsible persons regarding the work of the Automobile Engineering College, created at the institute, aimed at closely linking education with production, further developing dual education, training engineers according to international standards, and establishing an engineering college in nuclear energy and launching joint international educational programs. As part of fulfilling these tasks, active work continues to expand ties with foreign partners and implement new educational and scientific projects.
Most importantly, the promotional events allow young people and their parents to personally familiarize themselves with the opportunities created at the institute, get to know the learning process more closely, and make a decision about their future profession based on deep consideration. This is another practical manifestation of the strategic goals set by the President—the training of competent, competitive, and proactive personnel.
