Rapper Badshah noted that the increase in the prize fund for the fifth season of the show 'MTV Hustle' to 10 million rupees is an indicator of progress in culture.
Speaking about the fifth season, Rap Supremo Badshah emphasized that 'Hustle' has always served as a platform to find artists with genuine opinions. He added that every season, the country showcases incredible talents that find their place in Indian hip-hop.
Badshah explained that the 10 million rupee prize fund reflects how much faith is placed in the artists who are shaping the future of this culture. The theme of the current season is 'Apna Homeground,' which celebrates the roots of every artist, as that is where every performer's story begins.
This season, based on the theme 'Apna Homeground,' is dedicated to the people, places, and experiences that shape a musician's creative journey. Participants from all over India will present their unique stories, sounds, and identity, competing for the biggest prize in the show's history and demonstrating the richness and diversity of India's growing hip-hop movement.
In this season, Badshah is supported by EPR, MC Square, Paradox, and Agsy. Earlier, in July, the new theme of the show, 'Apna Homeground,' was announced. At that time, Badshah stated that this theme perfectly matches the communities and experiences that help an artist develop from scratch.
Badshah also noted that 'Hustle' has always been an innovative platform, and the return in this season feels like coming home.
The fifth season of 'Hustle' started on August 8th and is broadcast on MTV and streamed on JioHotstar. The show first appeared in 2019, and it was judged by Raftaar, Nucleya, and Raja Kumari, with Gailen Mendonsa as the host.
