The Casa HD / Desvão Atelier project is located in a residential complex situated between Sezimbra and the village of Azeitou. The house occupies a trapezoidal plot that is bordered by a water source on one side, a street, and two neighboring buildings to the north and south.
Although the topography of the plot was not complex, the existing elevation difference allowed the construction to be built one meter higher than the street level without the need for earthworks. The area is in close proximity to the Arrábida Natural Park, offering a dominant view of the landscape.
The vegetation on the plot consists of typical Portuguese montado, comprising oaks, cork oaks, olive trees, and low-growing scattered flora.
The Casa Aroeira project was conceived based on the analysis of the particularities of a steeply sloped plot of land, located in a closed condominium in the interior of São Paulo. The residence was planned to take advantage of an exuberant view, optimizing the implantation on the lot.
Due to the strong inclination of the land, the house was structured in its upper section. This arrangement allows for guaranteeing the best possible views and uses the corner of the lot to create two distinct types of access.
One of the accesses is level for pedestrians, serving on the side street, while vehicles use the lower street to access the garage.
The design team from 23 Living / Plan:b delivered a project for a residential building situated on an elongated and steeply sloped plot of land.
The development is located in the Provenza neighborhood, which is on the eastern slope of the city of Medellín. This neighborhood has an irregular urban structure, partially defined by the steep topography of the region.
Given this scenario, the architects proposed that the new building integrate a public staircase walkway on its south side. This passage would serve to cross the block and reduce the distance traveled by pedestrians.
