The 'Independence Day Festival' events held in the Syrdarya region to mark the 35th anniversary of the Republic of Uzbekistan's state sovereignty continue in an atmosphere of joy and at a high organizational level.

A decree by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding the broad celebration of state sovereignty stipulated that organizing festive events based on the main idea of 'One Homeland, one people, we will create a new life and future!' is a priority task. With the assistance of the Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment of the Republic, the Khokimiyat of the Syrdarya region, the Mahalla Association, the Regional Department of Culture, as well as the khokimiyats of districts and cities, hundreds of educational events are being held in Syrdarya, Saihunobod, Bayovut, Mirzaobod, Okoltin, Sardoba, Khovos, Guliston, and in the cities of Guliston, Shirin, and Yangiyer.
Within the framework of the festival, projects such as 'Book Postal Caravan,' 'Caravan of Goodness,' 'Gratitude,' 'Universal Unity,' 'Heroes of the Nation,' 'Etiquette of Visiting,' 'Happy Children of New Uzbekistan,' 'Film Caravan,' and 'Marches of Independence' have been implemented, attracting great interest from the public, especially youth. Book exhibitions, national folk games, folklore performances, intellectual contests 'Zakovat,' concerts, and sports competitions enrich the content of the Independence Day.

Among the bright moments of the holiday was the mass walk '5000 Steps for a Healthy Life,' held in the Binokor mahalla of Yangiyer city and in the Garden of Scientists in the Khovos district, with the participation of residents of the Mir and Druzhba mahallas, as well as the 'Gratitude' meetings in the Yangikishlok mahalla of Sardoba district and educational talks in the Elobod and Quyosh mahallas of Syrdarya district.
Prominent figures of art, representatives of the 'Propagandists of Enlightenment' group, heads of local government bodies, state and public organizations, youth, athletes, educational institution collectives, and the general public participated in these events. The meetings discussed the multifaceted path of the country's development towards the 35th anniversary of independence, the reforms being carried out in New Uzbekistan, as well as construction works aimed at peace and stability in the country and the well-being of the people.

Murodjon Haitov, head of the regional branch of the Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment of the Republic, noted: 'The most important thing is that such educational and propaganda events continue in the Syrdarya region at a high level and in high spirits. Their main goal is to strengthen in the hearts of the people, especially the youth, love for the Motherland, national pride, self-sacrifice, and a sense of belonging to the development of New Uzbekistan.'

Mehriiniso Eshonkhonova, Deputy Head of the Department for Women and Children Affairs of Bayovut district, head of the Family and Women Department, believes that independence festivals play an important role in fostering patriotism, civic responsibility, and a spirit of solidarity among the population, especially the youth.
She emphasized: 'Holding such events not only in the Bayovut district but throughout the Syrdarya region with wide public participation clearly demonstrates our people's dedication to the ideals of independence, a sense of belonging to the development of the Motherland, and a firm belief in tomorrow.
