American Hospital Dubai has reached another significant milestone by receiving Institutional Accreditation from the National Institute of Medical Specialties (NIHS) of the United Arab Emirates. The accreditation certificate was presented by Dr. Mohammed Al Hokani, Secretary-General of NIHS.
Dr. Al Hokani noted that this accreditation confirms the hospital's compliance with NIHS standards in postgraduate medical education. He expressed satisfaction with the private hospital's active participation in developing the healthcare workforce potential, emphasizing that academic hospitals play an important role in improving the healthcare system by combining clinical care, education, research, and continuous quality improvement.
This recognition, announced on July 6, 2026, once again demonstrates American Hospital Dubai's commitment to promoting the highest standards of professional medical practice in both the UAE and the region.
One of the hospital's key principles is the development of medical education and the nurturing of future leaders in healthcare. This is realized through the American Hospital Academic Institute (AHAI), an educational division established in 2022. AHAI provides medical students with high-quality clinical training and direct knowledge of advanced treatment methods and procedures, thereby raising the standard of healthcare in the UAE and neighboring regions.
American Hospital Dubai's educational initiatives also include the Robotic Surgery Training Institute. This institute was developed in collaboration with Robotics Surgical Systems (RSS) and the British company CMR Surgical to enhance robotic surgery skills among medical professionals.
The institutional accreditation recognizes the dedication and collaborative work of the management, faculty, and the entire team of AHAI American Hospital Dubai in striving to raise the standard of medical education and patient care.
Roudaina Haddad, Chief Operating Officer and Deputy GCEO of American Hospital Dubai, stated that they are proud of achieving a new stage in the hospital's leadership in medical education in the UAE and the region. She emphasized that receiving Institutional Accreditation from NIHS is a testament to their commitment to nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals. According to her, the hospital has always fulfilled and will continue to fulfill its mission of advancing medical education as an integral part of providing transformative healthcare for all. She thanked NIHS for this recognition and congratulated everyone who contributed to this outstanding achievement.
