The National Federation of Teachers (Fenprof) denounced the existence of pressures directed at teachers with the aim of forcing them to modify their vacation periods. Fenprof considers this a serious situation.
To bring visibility to the problem, the federation exposed the facts to the General Inspectorate of Education and Science (IGEC). The secretary-general, José Feliciano Costa, detailed the situation to A1.
Given these occurrences, FENPROF formally requested that IGEC investigate the reported cases, determine any irregularities, and establish guidelines to ensure that future procedures comply with educators' rights.
The National Federation of Teachers expresses great apprehension about the start of the new school year, considering all the challenges currently faced by schools and students.
The union reinforces that the right to enjoy vacation is a basic right of workers, which is protected by current legislation.
