According to the EADB monitoring, information was presented on major projects in the transport, industry, and energy sectors being implemented in Uzbekistan and the EOI. Overall, large-scale infrastructure development is underway in Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan across these three sectors, as indicated by the new report from the Eurasian Development Bank.
In Uzbekistan, a hot rolling complex with a capacity of $839 million has been commissioned through Uzmetkombinat. Additionally, the opening of a toll road between Urganch and Khiva, valued at $120 million, is planned, along with the expansion of the logistics center in Yangiul district worth $370 million.
In Kazakhstan, construction is underway on a multifunctional terminal at Kuryk port, which will cost nearly $1 billion. In its initial phase, it will handle 15 million tons of cargo annually, with total capacity reaching 25 million tons. The capacity of the terminal at 'Khorgos - Eastern Gate' has been increased from 540 thousand to 800 thousand standard containers.
Following the completion of expansion works in the Tengiz Sea, an increase in oil production to 40 million tons is planned for 2026. A proposal to build a shipyard in Mangystau region, costing no less than $267 million and capable of producing up to eight vessels per year, is under consideration.
In Russia, the Novolak wind power plant with a capacity of 300 MW has been fully launched. Furthermore, Russia and China intend to agree on the main parameters of the Zhalinda - Mokhe road-rail bridge. This route is expected to reduce the distance for transporting goods from Yakutia to China by more than 2,000 kilometers.
The volume of cargo traffic in Russian seaports has begun to recover. In the first half of 2026, the indicator exceeded the mark of 452 million tons by almost 6%, compensating for last year's decline. Meanwhile, export cargo grew by 6%, inland waterway transport by more than 22%, while transit decreased by 6%. The volume of dry cargo increased by 9%, exceeding 224 million tons.
In Kyrgyzstan, 'Eldik Bank' and the China Development Bank signed a credit agreement worth 1 billion yuan (approximately $150 million). These funds will be directed towards supporting small and medium-sized businesses in the infrastructure, green energy, industry, and agriculture sectors.
The monitoring shows that the main focus in Eurasia is on creating new transport capacities, localizing production, and expanding interregional trade routes.
An study on the development of horse racing and equestrian sports was conducted in the Samarkand region. This work was organized with the participation of Bahromjon Goziev, Chairman of the Federation of Horse Racing and Equestrian Sports of Uzbekistan, and G. Jabborov, Executive Director of the Samarkand Region Federation of Horse Racing and Equestrian Sports.
The main goal of the practical research was the further development of horse racing and equestrian sports in the Samarkand region, the improvement of existing infrastructure in this field, and ensuring the fulfillment of tasks set in the President's decisions.
During the visit, events at private equestrian clubs and riding schools operating in the Samarkand region were examined. A detailed review was conducted of the material and technical base of the facilities, the training process, the conditions created for athletes, as well as the current state of the sports infrastructure.
Based on the study results, relevant instructions and directives were issued regarding the elimination of existing problems, the further advancement of equestrian sports infrastructure, the improvement of athlete training quality, and the attraction of youth to this sport.
In addition, proposals and information from responsible persons were reviewed, and future priority tasks aimed at the consistent development of horse racing and equestrian sports were determined.
As part of an open dialogue with voters, the deputy of the District Council and the head of the district, Komiljon Mullajanov, participated in the event in the Ittifoq mahalla of the Saihunobod district. The event was organized at the building of the 36th general education school.
During the meeting, 37 appeals received from citizens were examined. As a result of the review, a positive decision was found for 11 of them directly at the meeting venue. Each appeal was thoroughly discussed with the participation of responsible persons, and specific tasks for their resolution were defined.
Komiljon Mullajanov emphasized that resolving 11 appeals on the spot is a practical example of a quick and effective approach to residents' problems. Regarding the other appeals, deadlines for execution have been set for the responsible persons, and constant monitoring is maintained over their fulfillment.
The district head stated that such open meetings are held not for formality, but to listen to the concerns of the population, study problems on site, find a way out for every appeal, and provide practical assistance to citizens. He noted that every appeal is under scrutiny because behind each problem lie the interests and fate of a person. Mullajanov added that simply hearing a problem is not enough; the most important task is to find a practical solution and achieve results.
It is emphasized that an open and sincere dialogue with the population, timely consideration of appeals, and the search for legal and fair solutions to all issues are among the key areas of activity of state bodies. This is because behind every appeal lie the fate of a person, the interests of a family, and faith in the future.
Russian forces liberated two settlements in the Sumy region and the DPR. According to the Ministry's report, units of the 'Center' grouping liberated the settlement of Svetloye.
Meanwhile, units of the 'North' grouping established control over Novaya Sech. Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov congratulated the servicemen of the 5th Separate Guards Motor Rifle Brigade who participated in the liberation of Svetloye.
