L&T's hydrocarbon resources department in marine works has signed a contract worth over 15,000 crore rupees with ADNOC Offshore for a major project located in West Asia, the company announced on Tuesday.
L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore (LTEH Offshore) will execute this project as part of a consortium and will act as the lead partner. The project involves the development of multiple offshore facilities.
LTEH Offshore will take on the majority of the scope of work, including the design, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of offshore structures. Furthermore, the work will include the modernization of existing facilities.
A significant portion of the production work will be carried out at L&T shipyards, utilizing the company's integrated capabilities in design, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning.
L&T classifies orders exceeding 15,000 crore rupees as 'ultra-mega'. The exact value of the project was not disclosed by the company.

LTEH Offshore provides design, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning solutions for the offshore oil and gas industry. The company possesses its own engineering capabilities, manufacturing facilities, and specialized fleet of marine vessels.
This business has successfully executed reservoir development projects in both shallow and deep waters across various regions. Over the last four decades, it has completed marine projects related to fixed platforms, subsea pipelines and structures, modernization of existing facilities, and decommissioning works.
