Although electric toothbrushes with integrated oral irrigators are not new, they are often bulky and heavy due to the water reservoir, or rely on hoses to connect the tank to the brush. The Dyson CamJet proposes a more sophisticated solution: a camera positioned near the brush head detects when it is between the teeth, automatically activating a liquid jet to eliminate residue.
This jet can be activated manually, and the brush can also be used separately as a jet or just as a dental brush. Furthermore, following the standard of a premium product, it features vibration to indicate the change of cleaning areas in the mouth, a charging stand that automatically fills the liquid tank (ideal for the bathroom sink), a travel case, and a portable charger, using USB-C connection.
Currently, there is no set date for the launch of the Dyson CamJet, as the product has not yet been officially presented, not even internationally. However, it has been awaited for approximately ten years, a period during which the company has registered patents for this device.
One example is patent US-D839597-S from 2017, which shows designs of a very similar brush (though rounder) to the model seen in the Anatel certification. The rumor gained more strength late last year after the British newsletter Popbitch reported the news that Dyson would launch an electric toothbrush, as reported by the website Stuff.tv. Consumers should not expect an affordable price. Considering that the company sells hair dryers for R$ 3,500 and vacuum cleaners at higher values, the CamJet should follow this trend.
