Drivers in Brazil are required to renew the Vehicle Registration and Licensing Certificate (CRLV) annually. This procedure is performed automatically after the payment of the Motor Vehicle Property Tax (IPVA) and the Annual Vehicle Licensing Renewal Fee (TRLAV). The Espírito Santo Traffic Department (Detran-ES) has already made available the dates and values related to the 2026 licensing.
After settlement, the new document can be obtained through the CNH do Brasil application, the National Transit Secretariat (Senatran) service portal, or directly on the Detran website.
Detran-ES has defined a calendar for the payment of the TRLAV, which is determined by the last digit of the vehicle's license plate. The dates are aligned with the IPVA expiration schedule, previously disclosed by the Treasury Secretariat (Sefaz).
The updated licensing, referring to the year 2026, will undergo inspection and collection starting on October 1st (10/01).
Following the pattern of previous years, the slips for both the Licensing and the IPVA will only be available on the official Detran-ES website, without being sent to the addresses of vehicle owners. Citizens must follow these steps to generate the Single Collection Document (DUA) on the Detran-ES website.
To make the payment, it is necessary to access the website www.detran.es.gov.br, enter the '100% Digital Vehicle Services' banner, select the 'Licensing Slip Issuance' service, log in to the Citizen Access account, click on the vehicle's license plate, and then on 'issue DUA.'
There is no need to print the slip to make the payment. The DUA contains a QR Code for Pix payment and a barcode for transactions in financial institutions listed in the DUA itself. For the process to be completed and the driver to be able to issue the CRLV, in addition to paying the fee, it is essential that the IPVA and any traffic fines or outstanding issues linked to the vehicle are settled.
Detran-ES warns that citizens must always obtain the slip directly from the official website www.detran.es.gov.br, avoiding searches on search engines or collections on pages that do not belong to the official body. Additionally, the agency does not send slips to the owner's address, nor does it make collections via email, text message, or WhatsApp.
It is possible to obtain the vehicle document using the CNH do Brasil application (formerly known as Digital Transit Card – CDT). The procedure involves downloading CNH do Brasil on the mobile phone, logging into Gov.br, selecting the 'Vehicles' menu, and choosing the 'Register CRLV' field. After filling out the form, the user must create an access key (four-digit password) to access the application and finally click the download CRLV-e button.

The Government of West Bengal has approved the process of acquiring land parcels for the creation of a new railway line. This project aims to improve transport connectivity with the India-China-Bhutan trijunction region. The new railway branch is expected to stimulate tourism activity in the Jaldakhaka-Bindu-Toidey-Tangta region.
