Another important support mechanism has been introduced for entrepreneurs operating in the tourism sector. Now, entrepreneurs planning to build a modern swimming pool can receive a state subsidy of up to 100 million sums.

The relevant government decision approved an administrative regulation concerning the provision of a state service to cover expenses related to the construction and commissioning of new modern swimming pools. According to this regulation, the state covers up to 50 percent of the costs associated with the construction and commissioning of the pool, but the amount must not exceed 100 million sums.

Under this subsidy program, funds are allocated for the first 100 modern swimming pools that will be commissioned from February 1, 2026, to January 1, 2028.

To receive the subsidy, the entrepreneur must meet several conditions: they must not have tax arrears or other mandatory payments, must not be undergoing reorganization or liquidation, their activities must comply with legislation and must not be suspended, and they must not be declared insolvent by court decision.

Entrepreneurs submit an application through State Service Centers or the Unified Interactive State Portal to the Tourism Committee. The application must be accompanied by the pool's design documentation, the contract for construction and commissioning, as well as electronic documents confirming payments made.

After the decision to cover the expenses is made, the Tourism Committee transfers the subsidy amount to the entrepreneur's account within 10 working days.

This interest is turning into practical actions: the number of bookings formalized through 'Expedia' has grown by approximately 46%, and the purchase of airline tickets has increased by 23%. This means that people are not just reading about or watching videos about Uzbekistan, but are also implementing their travel plans.

Geographical and Tourism Directions of Interest

The highest rate of interest was recorded in the USA and Japan. Additionally, countries such as Great Britain, Germany, France, and South Korea are joining the list of tourist markets frequently searched for Uzbekistan.

Tourists' main choice currently leans towards the cities of Tashkent, Samarkand, and Bukhara, but the prestige of other historical cities like Khiva is also growing year by year. The increase in interest in Khiva shows an eagerness for Ichan-Qala and ancient architectural heritage.

Children and the Future Season

82.9% of the bookings confirmed on the 'Expedia' platform are scheduled for July-September 2026, which gives confidence that the autumn tourism season in Uzbekistan will be even more active. This growth is not accidental; the introduction of new international air routes, the simplification of visas, the country's active participation in international exhibitions, and the display of its rich cultural heritage are showing their results.

Currently, Uzbekistan is recognized not only as a center of the Silk Road but also as a safe and hospitable country. While 'Expedia Group' statistics confirm that the world is discovering Uzbekistan, the current important task is to solidify this interest with high-quality services, new tourism products, and good service.
