A delegation from Uzbekneftegaz, led by Chairman of the Management Board Abdugani Sanginov, visited the production facilities of Honghua Group, one of the world leaders in drilling equipment manufacturing. This visit took place on the second day of the delegation's working trip to China.
As part of fulfilling a previously signed contract for the supply of four modern drilling rigs, members of the Uzbek delegation familiarized themselves with the processes of production, assembly, and testing of the equipment.
The delegation inspected the company's main production sites, where the manufacturing of steel structures, machining of parts, installation of large units, and final setup of the drilling rigs were observed.
Honghua Group specialists provided detailed information about the technical specifications of the equipment intended for Uzbekneftegaz, as well as its compliance with international standards and digital control system capabilities.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the progress of the contract execution, timely delivery of the machinery, and after-sales service conditions. The project was recognized as important for the phased modernization of Uzbekneftegaz's fleet of drilling rigs, optimizing production costs, and further expanding the company's drilling capabilities.
Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Turkey held a series of meetings, participated in a business forum, and inspected production and logistics facilities during their visit to Mersin province, according to Dunyo Information Agency.
More than 40 entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan and Turkey took part in the business forum, organized with the participation of Mustafa Ozdamar, Deputy Chairman of the Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry. These representatives covered sectors such as agriculture, logistics, and greenhouse farms.
Participants discussed opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation, developing export infrastructure, and promoting Uzbek products in foreign markets. Special attention was paid to Mersin's potential as a logistics hub for supplying goods from Uzbekistan to Turkey, Europe, and the Middle East.
During the trip, the Uzbek delegation also visited the Mersin Free Zone (MESBAŞ), where over 330 companies operate with a total turnover of about 3.5 billion US dollars. Representatives of the Uzbek juice producer Dena expressed interest in using the warehousing infrastructure of this free zone to increase export operations.
At the conclusion of the visit, the parties reached an agreement on further practical interaction in the fields of trade, investment, logistics, and promoting Uzbek brands internationally.
A delegation of Afghan entrepreneurs involved in automotive trade visited the joint venture LLC 'Birinchi Rezinotexnika Zavodi' in Angren, Tashkent region. The purpose of the visit was to study the plant's production capacities and discuss prospects for expanding cooperation.
During the visit, guests were shown modern production equipment, the full cycle of tire manufacturing, and the enterprise's operational quality control system. Representatives of the Afghan business community received information about the factory's technical capabilities and product range.
It was noted that 'Birinchi Rezinotexnika Zavodi' is the first and only manufacturer of automotive tires in Uzbekistan. The plant's annual capacity allows it to produce up to three million automotive tires, 200 thousand tires for agricultural machinery, and 100 thousand linear meters of conveyor belts.
The parties discussed the possibility of supplying Uzbek tires to the Afghan market, expanding commercial interaction, creating a dealer network, and strengthening industrial ties.
Participants noted that this meeting represents another step towards deepening practical interaction between the business circles of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, stimulating export supplies, and forming new commercial partnerships.
The Deputy Director of the Migration Agency of Uzbekistan, Elyor Toshtemirov, visited the Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ) during a working trip to Belarus, accompanied by representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan. The purpose of the visit was to discuss employment issues for citizens of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed the hiring procedures for Uzbek citizens, as well as issues concerning candidate interviews and on-the-job training for employees. Furthermore, measures aimed at assisting workers in adapting to a new work environment were discussed.
The Uzbek delegation also inspected the living and working conditions at the plant, visiting production workshops, the canteen, the dormitory, and other social infrastructure of the enterprise.
Currently, more than 120 citizens of Uzbekistan are employed at the Minsk Automobile Plant. According to participants of the meeting, the average monthly salary for these workers ranges from 800 to 1000 US dollars.
The delegation held a meeting with Uzbek employees of the enterprise, during which they were provided with information regarding compliance with labor legislation and legal requirements governing labor migration.
