Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Kangana Ranaut intensified her criticism of Generation Z protesters who mobilized for the now-concluded CJP action on Tuesday. She labeled them the 'Generation Gutter,' asserting that they are 'trying to live independently without taking responsibility.'
Accusations Against Protesters
Ranaut characterized the Gen Z women as 'so-called Westernized Indian women' who, in her opinion, 'study poorly but are so ugly and corrupt that they cannot be homemakers.' She also noted that they 'proudly display their freedom to use drugs, drink alcohol, or have endless partners.'
Comments on Young Hindu Women
Speaking out against the 'behavior of young Hindu women' gathered to protest the leak of NEET examination materials and demand the resignation of the then Education Minister, Ranaut stated that these protesters wish to 'imitate the life of independent career women without earning that freedom.'
In an Instagram post, Ranaut emphasized that truly independent women make bold decisions, express firm opinions, choose unconventional career paths, and take responsibility for their actions. She added that this is necessary because they are on their own and are not achieving this at the expense of their parents or family. The Mandi Lok Sabha MP said: 'If you try to live independently without taking responsibility, you are simply a distorted entity.'

Protest and Its Conclusion
On Monday, Ranaut mocked the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)—an online pressure group that brought thousands of students to Jantar Mantar in New Delhi after Dharmendra Pradhan stepped down as Education Minister. The Mandi MP published criticism of videos about Gen Z protests on Instagram Stories, calling them 'vomit-inducing.'
In her sharp message, Ranaut ridiculed the manner of expression and behavior of the protesters, writing: 'The way they speak and the language they use, I have never seen anything like it; everything in every frame is so sharp and rude at the same time, phew, who gives birth to and raises them?'
On Saturday, CJP announced the immediate cessation of its 36-day action at Jantar Mantar, stating that it was ending the protest 'in good faith' after the government met its key demands. The protest site was vacated after CJP's demands were met. A few hours later, Pradhan resigned, and Palakhad Joshi was appointed the new Education Minister, receiving additional responsibilities beyond his portfolios in renewable and consumer energy, as well as food and public distribution.
