This recipe allows you to satisfy your sweet tooth by baking a decadent caramel and coconut cake.
To begin, you need to prepare the ingredients. The list includes 2 cups of all-purpose wheat flour, 250 ml of sugar syrup, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, 125 ml of kefir, 250 ml of warm milk, 160 g of soft butter, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 2 teaspoons of caramel extract, 2 eggs, and 1/4 cup of coconut caramel candy for the center of the cake.
The cooking process starts by preheating the oven to 170 degrees Celsius. Then, grease and line two 2 x 20 cm baking pans with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and baking powder. Next, beat the butter until it becomes light and fluffy. Add the sugar and beat for two minutes.
Subsequently, add the vanilla extract and eggs one by one, and beat on low speed for one minute. Then, gently folding in the flour mixture, add the kefir. Adjust the batter with small portions of milk, and finally add the caramel extract; the finished batter should be thick.
Pour the prepared batter into the prepared pans and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
For the glaze, use 1/4 cup of powdered sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of caramel extract, and one tablespoon of milk. After baking, place the caramel candy in the center, join the cakes, and then pour the prepared glaze over the top.
