More than 40 entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan and Turkey took part in the business forum, organized with the participation of Mustafa Ozdamar, Deputy Chairman of the Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry. These representatives covered sectors such as agriculture, logistics, and greenhouse farms.
Participants discussed opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation, developing export infrastructure, and promoting Uzbek products in foreign markets. Special attention was paid to Mersin's potential as a logistics hub for supplying goods from Uzbekistan to Turkey, Europe, and the Middle East.
During the trip, the Uzbek delegation also visited the Mersin Free Zone (MESBAŞ), where over 330 companies operate with a total turnover of about 3.5 billion US dollars. Representatives of the Uzbek juice producer Dena expressed interest in using the warehousing infrastructure of this free zone to increase export operations.
At the conclusion of the visit, the parties reached an agreement on further practical interaction in the fields of trade, investment, logistics, and promoting Uzbek brands internationally.
A delegation consisting of over thirty major entrepreneurs from Afghanistan, who operate in the automotive trade sector, arrived in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The purpose of their visit is to study prospects for increasing the supply of vehicles manufactured in Uzbekistan to the Afghan market.
According to the organizers, this trip was initiated by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Tashkent City Hokimiyat. As part of the program, Afghan entrepreneurs plan to visit dealership centers, auto markets, and enterprises involved in vehicle exports.
The central event will be business meetings (B2B) between representatives of the business communities of the two countries. Participants will discuss the potential for growth in automotive exports, the development of logistics routes, the expansion of the dealer network, and the conclusion of new trade agreements.
It is expected that this visit will strengthen business ties between the automotive companies of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, as well as promote Uzbek automotive products in the Afghan market.
A delegation from the Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) arrived in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to discuss expanding trade and economic interaction, as well as implementing joint investment projects.
The delegation included over one hundred entrepreneurs, investors, and representatives of ACCI. The three-day visit to Tashkent includes meetings with representatives of the government and regional authorities of Uzbekistan, as well as members of the Uzbek business community.
According to ACCI, Sayed Karim Hashemi and members of the delegation will hold negotiations with the governor and state officials of the Syrdarya region. The main focus will be on strengthening bilateral trade ties, increasing business cooperation, and finding new opportunities for joint investments.
The Afghan delegation also plans to visit industrial and production enterprises in the Syrdarya region to study the potential for cooperation between companies from the two countries. The delegation is accompanied by Faiz Ahmad Havafi, Deputy Chairman of ACCI for Regional Issues, as well as board members Sahi Ahmad Norzad and Yahya Pashtun. This visit takes place against the backdrop of the ongoing development of trade and economic partnership between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, which includes expanding bilateral trade, developing transport routes, and seeking new investment horizons.
