International Exhibition of Construction and Buildings Attracts Interest from Over 1000 Companies

The Deputy for Support and Planning of the Iranian Cooperative Chamber reported that nearly a thousand companies have registered to participate in the International Exhibition of Construction and Buildings. The event is scheduled for August 18 to 21 and will focus on showcasing new technologies, developing trade exchange, and holding specialized panel discussions.

Mojtaba Mahallati, speaking at a press conference regarding the International Exhibition of Construction and Buildings on Saturday, noted that this exhibition has a history of over twenty years and has become one of the most prestigious specialized exhibitions in the region. He emphasized that despite difficult economic conditions, the response from companies to this year's exhibition has been very positive, with approximately 1000 participants registered so far.

Mahallati specified that the exhibition's goal goes beyond the simple demonstration of goods and products. Among the main tasks are conducting training courses, establishing business ties, implementing innovative technologies, and assisting in the development of both domestic and foreign markets. Participants will present products across various sectors, including construction materials, equipment and machinery, doors and windows, elevators and escalators, mechanical and electronic installations, intelligent systems, security devices, architectural solutions, and modern designs, as well as knowledge-based products.

The Deputy for Support and Planning of the Iranian Cooperative Chamber added that the exhibition will take place in 20 exhibition halls, as well as in the open areas of the Tehran International Exhibition Center. Manufacturers, knowledge-based companies, equipment suppliers, engineers, architects, mass developers, and investors will be present at the event.

He also announced specialized panels in cooperation with the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development. These panels will take place during three of the four days of the exhibition with the participation of professors, organizations, and activists in the construction sector, who will review the latest achievements and technologies in the construction industry.

Mahallati highlighted the international potential of the exhibition, noting that companies from countries such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey, China, Pakistan, and Gulf states will participate in the event. Negotiations are underway to strengthen technological cooperation, especially in the field of construction industrialization, with South Korea. The presence of these parties may contribute to the development of exports and commercial exchanges.

The Deputy for Support and Planning of the Iranian Cooperative Chamber characterized the construction industry as one of the key sectors influencing employment and capital turnover, and called on the media to actively cover the opportunities of domestic producers and the potential of this industry.

Regarding the international aspects of the exhibition, Mahallati stressed the importance of cooperation memoranda and stated that they aim to make the International Exhibition of Construction and Buildings a turning point for implementing the memorandum of cooperation between the Iranian Ministry of Transport and Urban Development and South Korea. The goal of this partnership is not only to attract capital but also to transfer knowledge and advanced modern technologies in the field of construction industrialization to Iranian specialists.

According to him, combining local knowledge with modern South Korean technology can significantly increase the speed and quality of construction in the country. Analyzing company behavior under current economic conditions, the Deputy of the Cooperative Chamber noted that the presence of industry representatives at the exhibition helps stabilize the market and restore order by injecting energy and new products. Contrary to initial assumptions about a possible decrease in the number of participants, there is an increase in registrations this year, which indicates the vital role of manufacturers in the cycle of prosperity of the construction industry and the reconstruction of the country.

Mahallati pointed out the differences of the current edition from previous years, emphasizing that the exhibition is focused on relevance. In this version, efforts were made to connect industry, academia, and modern technologies such as artificial intelligence. Therefore, special training programs and panel discussions were developed so that companies and elites could familiarize themselves with the latest global methods and technologies.

Concerning issues such as rising production costs and power supply restrictions, he emphasized the exhibition's role as a regulatory body. Despite production difficulties, the exhibition serves as a platform bringing together the entire supply chain—from manufacturers to housing cooperatives and investors—to showcase their products and ensure the continuity of the production and construction cycle in the country.

The International Exhibition of Construction and Buildings will take place from August 18 to 21 from 8:00 to 15:00 at the permanent international fair in Tehran.
