This refers to the Nissan Tekton, an SUV based on the Renault Duster. The company introduced this model on July 9th, and deliveries began on July 20th. The share of this model in the overall 218% growth will be analyzed later.
In July 2026, the total volume of wholesale sales for Nissan Motor India reached 9,339 units. Of these, 4,518 units were sold domestically, and 4,821 units were exported. The company's growth compared to July of the previous year was 218%. Furthermore, the company achieved a 50% increase in the domestic wholesale market segment compared to the previous month.
Currently, Nissan offers three products in the Indian market: Magnite, Greivate, and Tekton. The exact number of Nissan Tekton units in the total sales volume has not been disclosed yet.
The start of Tekton deliveries on July 20th strengthened the company's product portfolio, allowing the brand to enter the popular mid-size SUV segment. Nissan states that by expanding its portfolio from one product to three, the company is building up its service network and retail presence across the country.
Sourav Watts, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, noted: 'The 218% annual growth in domestic wholesale for July shows that the Nissan brand continues to develop in India. Consumers are showing trust in the brand. The start of Nissan Tekton deliveries is a very important moment as it will strengthen the brand's SUV portfolio.'
The Nissan Tekton was launched by the company with two engine variants. This SUV is available with a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.3-liter turbocharged petrol engine. The price of this model starts from 10.49 lakh rupees including all charges and reaches 18.59 lakh rupees including all charges.
