President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the opening ceremony of the Kyrgyz sailing Grand Prix, which took place on Issyk-Kul Lake. The event was part of the program of an unofficial Consultative Council of Central Asian Heads of State.
Presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan were also present at the ceremony. The heads of these states welcomed both the participants and the guests of the competition.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev, along with his wife, watched the athletes' qualifying run.
The Kyrgyz Grand Prix is the second stage of the F1H2O World Championship, known as 'Formula 1 on Water,' and is held under the auspices of the International Motor Sports Union (UIM). Professional teams and athletes from various countries participate in the competition annually.
This stage of the F1H2O World Championship is being held in Central Asia for the first time. The competition program includes training sessions, qualifying runs, and the main race on high-speed vessels capable of reaching speeds over 220 km/h.
The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, arrived in Kyrgyzstan as part of an official state visit. He was accompanied by his wife.
At the international airport in Issyk-Kul in the city of Cholpon-Ata, the head of state of Uzbekistan and the first lady were met by the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, and his spouse. In honor of the high-ranking guests, the national flags of both countries were raised, and a military guard of honor was formed.
During this visit, the leaders of the two states plan to hold negotiations aimed at further strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, as well as raising bilateral cooperation to a new level.
The visit's program also includes the participation of the President of Uzbekistan in an informal Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan.
