The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and his wife participated in the opening of the Kyrgyzstan Grand Prix for water motor sports, which took place on Lake Issyk-Kul. This event marked the debut of the first stage of the F1H2O World Championship in the Central Asian region.
The competition was held in the context of an informal Consultative Meeting of leaders of Central Asian and Azerbaijani states, where heads of state welcomed both participants and guests of the tournament. Shavkat Mirziyoyev personally monitored the athletes' qualifying runs.
The Kyrgyzstan Grand Prix is the second stage of the F1H2O World Championship, also known as 'Formula 1 on Water'. Professional drivers and teams from various countries participate in the competition. The tournament program includes training sessions, qualifying races, and a final race on high-speed boats capable of reaching speeds over 220 kilometers per hour.
It is also worth noting that Uzbekistan previously expressed its support for the idea of creating a single tourist visa for Central Asian countries. If this visa is implemented, foreign citizens will only need to obtain one permit to visit several countries in the region, eliminating the need to apply for separate visas.
