Key highlights of Indian Oil results
Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) reported a consolidated net loss of ₹1,140 crore for the quarter from April to June. This figure contrasts with a profit of ₹6,808 crore in the previous year, as higher energy prices amid the crisis in West Asia put pressure on the company's revenues.
Revenue from the state-owned oil marketing company IOCL increased by 27% year-on-year, reaching ₹2.82 trillion in Q1FY27. Despite supply disruptions related to the conflict in West Asia, IOCL stated that it secured sufficient crude oil stocks until the end of September through diversified procurement sources, which helped mitigate the impact of regional disruptions.
