The Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan announced that it will begin reviewing complaints concerning the supply of liquefied gas to residential buildings. This initiative followed a report by the online publication Kun.uz about problems in the Kuvas district of the Fergana region.
In an official statement, the ministry specified that it will conduct a thorough inspection of every recorded case. The inspection will cover delays in the delivery of liquefied gas cylinders, the cylinder refilling process, customer service quality, and adherence to professional ethics by employees.
The ministry stated that appropriate measures will be taken to eliminate any identified shortcomings. Furthermore, it was noted that in recent months, measures are being gradually implemented across the country to resolve existing issues with liquefied gas supplies to consumers and improve the quality of services provided.
The Ministry of Energy called on consumers to submit their suggestions and complaints related to gas supply to the regional target groups established throughout the country.
The joint-stock company Hududgazta'minot issued an official statement in response to media reports concerning the supply of liquefied gas to residents of the Kuva district in the Fergana region of Uzbekistan.
The company reported that its specialists conducted an on-site inspection and found no confirmation of consumers' claims that they had not received liquefied gas for over 100 days.
According to the company, the last batch of liquefied gas was delivered to the M. Hasanov mahalla in the Kuva district on May 26 of this year. Thus, the interval between deliveries was 65 days. The company clarified that the complainants have already received gas and were informed about future deliveries according to the approved schedule.
Hududgazta'minot also reminded consumers of their right to check the weight of household gas cylinders at the time of delivery. The company emphasized that all vehicles used for liquefied gas delivery are equipped with weighing scales, allowing cylinders to be weighed directly on site.
Furthermore, the company strongly urged consumers to report through the short number 1104 or through the company's compliance control units any instances where they are prevented from checking the cylinder's weight or when its weight does not meet established standards. It was stated that every complaint will be reviewed according to the established procedure, and appropriate measures will be taken under the law if violations are confirmed.
