According to the foreign trade report published by the National Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics on July 28, Uzbekistan exported 1.0867 million tons of fruits and vegetable products worth $872.9 million between January and June 2026.
Compared to the same period in 2025, the export volume increased by 0.8%, amounting to 8,500 tons, and the export value grew by 3.0%. Fruits and vegetables accounted for 5.5% of the country's total exports.
Among fruit export items, dried grapes accounted for the largest volume at 47,700 tons worth $58.0 million, followed by peaches (35,000 tons, $37.2 million) and cherries (25,200 tons, $59.9 million).
Overall, fruit exports decreased from 198,200 tons to 158,500 tons, and their value slightly decreased from $250.4 million to $240.6 million. Meanwhile, the export of dried apricots showed significant growth, increasing from $13.0 million to $25.2 million, and the export volume rose from 8,100 tons to 9,400 tons.
Vegetable exports, on the other hand, demonstrated growth in both volume and value: they increased from 454,900 tons to 504,300 tons and from $156.5 million to $190.3 million, respectively.
Onions became the largest item of vegetable exports, accounting for 277,500 tons worth $82.1 million, while cabbage ranked second with 137,800 tons and a value of $53.8 million. Carrot exports increased from 34,100 tons to 51,300 tons, and their value rose from $6.9 million to $11.9 million. Garlic exports almost doubled, increasing from 2,900 tons to 5,400 tons, with the export value rising from $3.9 million to $8.7 million.
The export of melons and watermelons decreased from 144,800 tons to 128,600 tons, but their value increased from $34.3 million to $41.0 million. The export of nuts and peanuts remained relatively stable at 12,400 tons compared to 12,200 tons the previous year, although its value slightly decreased from $29.3 million to $28.3 million. The export of mung beans increased from 32,800 tons to 35,000 tons, and their value rose from $30.0 million to $33.3 million.
Furthermore, the statistical committee reported that agricultural and food products constituted a significant share of the country's foreign trade. Total exports of food products and live animals reached $1.3216 billion, accounting for 8.3% of the total export volume and showing a growth of 9.0% compared to January-June 2025.
According to data from the National Statistical Committee, in the first four months of 2026, Uzbekistan imported 642.2 tons of natural honey for a total amount of 584,400 US dollars.
The import volume increased by 422.4 tons, which is 2.9 times compared to the same period in 2025.
Kazakhstan was the largest supplier of natural honey to Uzbekistan, exporting 372 tons. Kyrgyzstan took second place with a supply of 168 tons, and Russia was noted as the third supplier with 87.9 tons.
During this period, Germany supplied 10 tons of natural honey, and Hungary exported 2.2 tons. Other countries provided a total of 2.1 tons of imported honey.
