Honda exhibited the 2027 version of the X-ADV, its popular adventure scooter, in Europe. The introduced modifications are subtle and focus primarily on the visual aspect, including the addition of a new shade, while the mechanical system and components remain identical to the previous generation.
The main change lies in the introduction of the Mat Deep Mud Gray paint, which is now part of the color palette, alongside the existing options: Graphite Black, Mat Ballistic Black Metallic, and Pearl Glare White. With this change, the manufacturer aims to modernize the aesthetic appeal of the crossover without altering its fundamental concept.
In terms of engineering, the X-ADV maintains its twin-cylinder engine, which has a displacement of 745 cm³ and is capable of generating 58.6 hp of power and 7.0 kgfm of torque. This engine continues to be coupled with the six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT), one of its most notable features.
The set of onboard technologies has also been preserved. The scooter offers an electronic throttle, various riding modes, traction control (HSTC), cruise control, a five-inch color TFT display with Honda RoadSync integration, Full LED lighting, and a storage compartment under the seat with a capacity of 22 liters.
Regarding the Brazilian market, the European update suggests that Honda has decided not to implement structural changes to the X-ADV for the 2027 line. Since the model was recently launched in Brazil in its most current configuration, it is expected that, for now, only the new color options will be presented as news for this model in the international scene.
Honda held a major event in India this week, unveiling ten new products. Among the announced items are a large engine motorcycle and a stylish adventure maxi-scooter that will soon be available in the Indian market.
This scooter will be the first in the country capable of running on E85 fuel. This refers to the Honda ADV 160 model, which was presented by the company. Honda stated that this scooter will be manufactured in India, and in the future, the company plans to export it from the country.
The Honda ADV 160 will be equipped with a 157 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, providing 16.3 hp and 14.9 Nm of torque. Combined with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), this scooter is positioned as a future-ready product. It will feature a rugged design and clean body lines, along with a large adjustable windscreen and dual LED headlights.
The scooter will be fitted with block-pattern tires, offer an upright riding position, and have increased ground clearance. Honda presents the ADV 160 as an urban adventure vehicle. The ADV 160 model will include premium features such as a full-color TFT instrument cluster and Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity, which provides users with navigation and communication capabilities.
The package includes traction control systems, single-channel ABS, a USB charging socket, and a spacious 27-liter under-seat storage. Furthermore, the scooter is equipped with telescopic front forks and dual rear shock absorbers. The Honda ADV 160 has a 14-inch front wheel and a 13-inch rear wheel, with a total weight of approximately 133 kilograms. The company has not yet announced the release date or price of this scooter.
Honda has officially announced the launch of the new CB400 Super Four E-Clutch and CBR400 Four E-Clutch motorcycles in Japan, four months after the prototypes were presented at the Osaka Motorcycle Show. These models bring back the classic lineage of the Japanese manufacturer, integrating the traditional inline four-cylinder engine with technological innovations such as electronic throttle and the E-Clutch automated clutch system.
The CB400 Super Four will be the first to be available at Japanese dealerships, with sales scheduled to begin on August 21st. Following that, the sportier CBR400 Four version will debut on September 18th. The suggested prices are 998,800 yen (equivalent to about R$ 31 thousand) for the naked version, and approximately 1.18 million yen (about R$ 37 thousand) for the fully faired version.
A central point of this new generation is the resurgence of the inline four-cylinder architecture, a historic configuration of the Four line since the 1970s that set a standard among Honda's mid-sized bikes. The new engine has a displacement of 399 cm³, uses liquid cooling, dual overhead camshafts (DOHC), and four valves per cylinder. This mechanical unit generates 58 hp at 11,500 rpm and produces 3.9 kgfm of torque at 9,750 rpm, operating with electronic acceleration (throttle-by-wire).
In terms of design, Honda referenced the past: the exhaust maintains the traditional 4-2-1 layout, with visible curves inspired by the 1974 CB400 Four, while the look of the CB400 Super Four directly recalls the model introduced in 1992. Furthermore, the Honda E-Clutch is an important differentiator, allowing the rider to start, stop, and shift gears without manually engaging the clutch, although the lever remains accessible for those who prefer conventional control. This system is already present in models like the CB650R, sold in Brazil, aiming for greater comfort in urban traffic.
Both motorcycles have also received significant technological updates. They are now equipped with a five-inch color TFT display, replacing the old analog gauges. Another feature is Honda RoadSync, which allows the smartphone to connect to the bike for turn-by-turn navigation, music control, and viewing call notifications via handlebar controls.
Currently, Honda has limited the confirmation of the new CB400 Super Four and CBR400 Four exclusively to the Japanese market. The manufacturer has not yet released plans to commercialize these models in other regions, including Brazil. However, the great interest shown by these models in markets such as Europe and the United States fuels hopes for future global expansion, despite the lack of official confirmation regarding such a plan.
