The house, in the villages of Rajasthan, has a traditional organization centered on courtyards. This architecture was designed to shelter social life during celebrations and family gatherings, while also providing defense against heat, dust, and constant public visibility.
These dwellings are not static; they adapt and change depending on their use, oscillating between intense collective use and the sphere of private life. It is in this complex scenario, involving climate, community, and isolation, that the House Between Walls project, located in Rewatra, fits in.
