The month of Sawan, which is highly revered for worshipping the god Shiva, began on July 30th this year. During this sacred month, there is a special ritual involving offering belpatra (bilva patra) to the Shivling.

Sanctity like Tirthas of Kashi: The place where the belpatra plant is planted is considered as sacred as the Tirthas of Kashi. This leads to the destruction of all human sins and the attainment of unprecedented benefits.
Elimination of Negative Energy: According to Vastu Shastra, the belpatra plant disperses negative energy in the house and promotes the spread of positive energy, protecting against Tantric influences.
Freedom from Debts: If a person is worried about debts or financial difficulties, it is considered very auspicious to plant the belpatra plant in the northwest direction of the house specifically during the month of Sawan.
