A wildfire has broken out in the state of Nevada, USA, covering an area of about 5,200 hectares on a military range. According to data from the United States Bureau of Land Management, this section, named 'Quali Springs,' got out of control due to constant heat and strong winds and continues to expand northward.
The mountainous and complex terrain, along with the rapid spread of the flames, complicates firefighting efforts. The Bureau reported that hot and dry air will persist in the region until the end of the week.
The fire originated 15 kilometers north of Las Vegas. More than 900 nuclear tests were conducted here between 1950 and 1990. Additionally, Area 51 is located on this range, which is known for various conspiracy theories.
The Governor of Navoi Region, Normat Tursunov, reviewed the new projects being implemented in the city of Zarafshon. Currently, work is underway on sustainable and new projects aimed at the socio-economic development of the region, increasing investment attractiveness, and ensuring the well-being of the population.
Within these projects, plans include the creation of new production capacities, the establishment of modern service complexes and business centers for urban infrastructure. The development of eco-tourism, cultural, and entertainment zones is also provided for to increase the flow of local and foreign tourists, as well as to create permanent jobs for residents, especially young people.
During the presentation, the governor detailed the economic efficiency, implementation timelines, and number of jobs created for each project. He personally inspected the construction progress of the 'Zarafshon Mall' shopping and entertainment complex in the 'Bahor' microdistrict. Upon commissioning, this complex, with a total area of 19 thousand square meters, will become one of the largest and most modern shopping and entertainment centers in the city.
This project includes plans for placing retail outlets that meet global standards, international brand stores, cafes, and other facilities that meet the modern needs of the population.
A presentation was also given on projects for creating new production capacities and constructing modern buildings at the 'Zarafshon oyna' MChZh enterprise. A major investment project is being implemented to create 'Calcined Soda Production' with a total volume of 180 million dollars. Work on land leveling, planning, and excavation, as well as the installation of metal frames for the production workshop, has been completed on the allocated plot of 29 hectares.
Currently, the development of the general plan, engineering and communication networks, and technical and economic justifications for the project continues according to the approved schedule. It is planned that the enterprise will begin operations in December 2028, which will lead to an increase in production volume and the creation of 500 new jobs.
The governor gave relevant instructions and recommendations to managers and entrepreneurs regarding ensuring the quality and timely completion of all projects, as well as creating favorable conditions for investors.
Since the establishment of the SCO, new partner countries have been designated. The list of member states and observer states of this organization has been disclosed.
The SCO was established in 2001. Its main members include Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan.
Seventeen countries are granted SCO partner status for dialogue cooperation. These countries include Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bahrain, Egypt, Cambodia, Qatar, Kuwait, Laos, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Sri Lanka.
Afghanistan and Mongolia have been listed as observer states by the SCO.
