Consolidated net loss attributable to owners of Swiggy Limited decreased by 33.9% year-on-year to ₹791 crore in the quarter concluding on June 30, 2026, compared to ₹1,197 crore recorded a year prior. This decline occurred because revenue growth surpassed expense increases, leading to a reduction in the overall loss across its operational divisions.

Revenue from operations saw an increase of 37.3%, reaching ₹6,812 crore from ₹4,961 crore. Total income grew by 39.1% to ₹7,023 crore, supported by other income rising to ₹211 crore from ₹87 crore. Conversely, total expenses expanded by 25.1%, amounting to ₹7,813 crore up from ₹6,244 crore.
Specific cost increases included purchases of stock-in-trade, which rose to ₹2,978 crore from ₹2,058 crore, and delivery and related charges, which climbed to ₹1,750 crore from ₹1,313 crore. Furthermore, advertising and sales-promotion spending increased to ₹1,160 crore from ₹1,036 crore. The consolidated loss per share narrowed to ₹2.96 from ₹5.04, and the company reported no exceptional items or tax expenses during this period.

In the food-delivery sector, revenue increased by 22.7% to ₹2,208 crore (up from ₹1,799 crore), and the segment result improved by 48%, reaching ₹299 crore from ₹202 crore. The quick-commerce segment, powered by Instamart, experienced a significant climb in revenue of 52.9%, totaling ₹1,232 crore compared to ₹806 crore previously. Although quick commerce remained the largest contributor to segment losses, its segment loss narrowed by 18.3% to ₹651 crore from ₹797 crore.
Other segments showed varied performance: out-of-home consumption revenue rose to ₹126 crore from ₹77 crore, with its segment result improving to ₹14 crore from ₹5 crore. Supply-chain and distribution revenue grew to ₹3,195 crore from ₹2,259 crore, while its segment loss reduced to ₹8 crore from ₹47 crore. Platform Innovations, which encompasses businesses like Swiggy Minis, Swiggy Sports, Snacc, Toing, and Crew, generated ₹51 crore in revenue, up from ₹20 crore the previous year, though its segment loss widened to ₹131 crore from ₹52 crore.

Overall, the combined segment loss contracted by 30.8% to ₹477 crore from ₹689 crore. Share-based payment expenses decreased to ₹173 crore from ₹265 crore, while depreciation and amortization saw an increase to ₹298 crore from ₹288 crore. Regarding Instamart, Swiggy announced that the transfer of its Instamart business to Swiggy Instamart Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary undergoing a step-down, became effective on April 1, 2026, executed via a slump sale on a going-concern basis. Additionally, the company disclosed that Amitesh Kumar Jha resigned as chief executive officer of Instamart and ceased being a senior management employee effective July 28, 2026, following the end of the reporting quarter.
