Students undergo internship at solar power plant as part of university and China Datang Corporation cooperation

The foundation for a new stage of cooperation aimed at strengthening the integration of education and production at the Boka solar power plant, which operates with the participation of Goliston State University and China Datang Corporation, has been laid.

Faculty Visit to the Plant

In this regard, professors from the university's Faculty of Physics, including educators who have undergone advanced training within the EPIP project in Tianjin, China, visited the Boka solar power plant to gain detailed insight into the production processes.

During the visit, university representatives were provided with detailed information about the technological capabilities of the solar power plant, electricity generation processes, operating principles of modern equipment, automated control systems, and occupational health requirements.

Discussion on Student Practical Training

The meeting discussed the implementation of a dual education cycle for students majoring in 'Alternative Energy Sources' at the university, the organization of their industrial practice at the Boka solar power plant, and the alignment of the curriculum with practical activities.

According to preliminary agreements, 39 graduates studying this field will complete their industrial practice at the Boka solar power plant. Furthermore, the phased introduction of dual education elements is planned starting from the new academic year.

What Students Will Gain During Internship

During the internship, students will be able to directly master energy generation technologies in a production environment, efficient use of solar panels, maintenance of electrical equipment, digital control systems, as well as occupational health and industrial safety requirements.

Conclusions on Cooperation

Dilmurod Eshmurodov, Vice-Rector of Goliston State University for Scientific Research and Innovation, stated that during negotiations with the Boka solar power plant, an agreement was reached on the further development of education and production integration, improving faculty qualifications at industrial enterprises, broader involvement of enterprise specialists in the educational process, and expanding cooperation in joint scientific and practical and innovative projects.

He emphasized that this partnership is of great importance for enriching students' theoretical knowledge with practical skills and preparing competitive specialists for the labor market.

Moreover, this cooperation creates a solid foundation for aligning the educational process with production needs, enhancing students' professional mastery and practical skills, preparing competitive personnel who meet employer requirements, and forming a reserve of qualified specialists for the renewable energy sector.

The wage for January-June 2026 reached an average of 7,911 thousand soms nationwide. This figure exceeds the same period last year by 18.4%. For comparison, in January-June 2022, the average wage was 3,551.6 thousand soms, which represents an almost twofold increase in the average salary over four years.

Regional Income Differences

When comparing by region, the highest average wage level was noted in the city of Tashkent, where it reached 12.014 million soms. Following in terms of income level is the Navoi region, where the average salary amounted to 8.723 million soms.

Lowest Indicators

The lowest values for the average wage were registered in the Kashkadarya region, where it was 4.865 million soms, as well as in the Surkhandarya region, where the indicator reached 4.937 million soms.
