HFCL, a manufacturer of telecommunication equipment, announced on Thursday the receipt of a new order for the export of optical fiber optic cable. The value of this contract is 46.13 million US dollars, equivalent to approximately 441.53 crore Indian rupees.
Details of the export contract
According to documentation submitted to regulatory bodies, this batch is scheduled to be completed by January 2027. The official notification states that the company secured export orders worth 46.13 million US dollars for the supply of optical fiber cables to a well-known international client through its foreign subsidiary.
Previously received orders and capacity expansion
Earlier this month, HFCL also signed an export contract worth 495.8 crore rupees from an international data center company for the supply of optical fiber optic cable. The company also announced plans to expand its production capacity in optical fiber cables, increasing it to 45 million kilometers of fiber routes from the previous 39 km per year. Furthermore, it is increasing its optical fiber production capacity to 40 million kilometers of fiber routes (rkm) compared to the previous 30 million rkm per year.
Business financial performance
In the last fiscal year, HFCL's business in optical fiber optic cables (OFC) achieved a record order volume of 13,483 crore rupees.
