Uzbekistan and Poland held discussions on prospects for deepening interaction in the fields of geology and mining industry. The possibilities of implementing modern technologies, geological surveys, and joint investment projects were discussed.
Event and Participants
The meeting took place on July 27 at the Ministry of Mining and Geology of Uzbekistan. First Deputy Minister Feruza Khamidova and the Polish Consul in Uzbekistan, Marian Pszednicki, participated in the negotiations.
International Events and Plans
The parties also considered the possibility of participating in international industry events. Special attention was paid to the Future Mining Forum & Expo, which will be held in Katowice, Poland, from September 9 to 11, as well as the GEOMIN-2026 international forum scheduled for Tashkent.
Representatives of both countries expressed their interest in actively participating in these events. Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue the dialogue on expanding cooperation in geology and mineral extraction, strengthening direct contacts, and developing potentially profitable joint projects.
Future Steps in Cooperation
Furthermore, the parties discussed organizing a separate meeting with the ministry's leadership during the planned visit of Polish mining companies' delegation to Uzbekistan in 2026.
