The First Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology of Uzbekistan, Feruza Khamidova, held a meeting with a delegation from Indorama Corporation Pte. Ltd. from Singapore. The goal of the negotiations was to discuss prospects for expanding cooperation in the field of mineral extraction.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed opportunities for joint work in extracting and processing mineral resources. Issues regarding the supply of raw materials for the production of mineral fertilizers were also discussed.
Khamidova emphasized the ministry's readiness to develop mutually beneficial partnerships. Furthermore, she informed the company representatives about the opportunities to participate in auctions for obtaining rights to develop promising subsoil areas.
At the end of the negotiations, the participants exchanged views on future directions of cooperation in Uzbekistan's mining sector.
Uzbekistan and Poland held discussions on prospects for deepening interaction in the fields of geology and mining industry. The possibilities of implementing modern technologies, geological surveys, and joint investment projects were discussed.
The meeting took place on July 27 at the Ministry of Mining and Geology of Uzbekistan. First Deputy Minister Feruza Khamidova and the Polish Consul in Uzbekistan, Marian Pszednicki, participated in the negotiations.
The parties also considered the possibility of participating in international industry events. Special attention was paid to the Future Mining Forum & Expo, which will be held in Katowice, Poland, from September 9 to 11, as well as the GEOMIN-2026 international forum scheduled for Tashkent.
Representatives of both countries expressed their interest in actively participating in these events. Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue the dialogue on expanding cooperation in geology and mineral extraction, strengthening direct contacts, and developing potentially profitable joint projects.
Furthermore, the parties discussed organizing a separate meeting with the ministry's leadership during the planned visit of Polish mining companies' delegation to Uzbekistan in 2026.
The First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bahromjon Aloev, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Uzbekistan, Mohammad Ali Eskandari.
During the negotiations, the parties focused on issues of further strengthening interaction between Uzbekistan and Iran. Directions of cooperation were discussed in political, trade and economic, transport, as well as cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The participants also exchanged views on the implementation of planned events in the near future and considered current topics on the regional agenda.
Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan discussed opportunities to deepen interaction in the fields of geology, subsoil use, and groundwater resource management.
The discussions took place during the working visit of Rustam Yusupov, Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology of Uzbekistan, to the Kyrgyz Republic. During the meetings, the parties reviewed issues regarding the preparation of a joint Action Plan in the mining and geological sectors, as well as potential projects for the exploration and development of mineral deposits.
Significant attention was paid to exchanging experience and implementing modern technologies in geological exploration. Participants discussed the prospects of applying advanced subsurface investigation methods for industry development. Kyrgyzstan's experience in the rational use, protection, and monitoring of groundwater reserves was also examined separately.
The parties also studied the possibility of applying digital technologies and artificial intelligence for hydrogeological modeling, data analysis, and forecasting. At the conclusion of the meetings, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan reaffirmed their mutual interest in further developing cooperation and implementing joint projects in the field of geology and rational use of natural resources.
