A new accelerator program has started in Karakalpakstan, designed to support farmers and entrepreneurs in the agribusiness sector. The initiative aims to strengthen participants' knowledge and skills, facilitate the commercialization of agricultural products, and create new market opportunities.
This project is part of the 'Development of Sustainable Agricultural Production Systems in Degraded Lands of Karakalpakstan' program, which is funded by the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD). The organizers are the International Centre for Bio-zoological Agronomy (ICBA) from the United Arab Emirates and the Uzbekistan Innovation Development Agency.
The trainings will begin on August 3rd and last for one month at the Nukus Youth Technopark. Participants will receive practical training on developing high value-added products, modern business management, product commercialization, and access to new markets. The project plans to cover a total of 200 farmers and agribusiness entrepreneurs across Karakalpakstan.
Tarifa Alzaabi, Director of ICBA, noted that the program was developed based on experience gained from implementing projects in Karakalpakstan. She emphasized the need to elevate farmer support to a new level. According to her, through this program, participants will acquire modern knowledge and practical skills that they can effectively apply in their work to create successful enterprises.
Alzaabi stressed that farmer support should be provided not only at the production stage but throughout the entire value chain. The 'Farm to Fork' approach is being used, which covers production, processing, marketing, and delivery to the end consumer. The program will provide participants with knowledge and skills related to all stages—from sowing seeds and soil preparation to cultivation, processing, and market entry.
One of the key priorities of the program is the introduction of climate-adapted crops for the conditions of Karakalpakstan. In the context of the Aral Sea crisis and climate change, special attention is paid to drought- and salt-resistant crops. This allows for a more rational use of water and other natural resources. Such crops not only increase agricultural efficiency but also bring additional value to the region's ecosystem.
Upon completion of the accelerator, special emphasis will be placed on bringing participants' products to the market, supporting their commercialization, and developing value-added supply chains. The organizers expect this initiative to contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable agriculture in Karakalpakstan while increasing the competitiveness of farmers and agribusiness entrepreneurs.
Dafra fulfilled the announcement made during the Interlagos Festival 2025 by officially introducing the SYM ADXTG 300 to the Brazilian market this Wednesday, the 29th. This new adventure scooter arrives with a suggested price of R$ 32,990, including shipping, and fits into the growing niche of adventure vehicles in the country.
The arrival of the ADXTG 300 strengthens SYM's 300cc scooter line, positioning it between the Joyride 300, focused on urban traffic, and the Cruisym 300, which has a profile better suited for roads. This launch occurs at a time when the adventure scooter segment is gaining relevance in Brazil.
Its main competitor is the Zontes 368G Adventure, which stands out for combining a robust design, extensive technology, and high performance. In contrast, SYM opts for a different approach: it offers a more balanced set, with a smaller engine and reduced power, seeking to compensate for this through a competitive cost, a larger fuel tank, and the brand's consolidated reputation in the scooter sector.
Aesthetically, the ADXTG 300 preserves the visual identity of the 150 version, featuring angular lines, high clearance, and sophisticated finishing. It has a fully LED lighting system and a look reminiscent of adventure motorcycles.
Technologically, the vehicle is well-equipped standard, including dual ABS brakes, traction control, keyless entry, USB-A and USB-C ports, as well as a 7-inch color TFT panel that allows layout customization and features day and night viewing modes.
In terms of the engine, the SYM ADXTG 300 uses a 278.3 cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, four-valve single-cylinder engine. It is capable of generating 26 hp at 8,000 rpm and producing 2.65 kgfm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The transmission is automatic, CVT type.
A strong point of the model is its range, enabled by the 16-liter tank, considered an attractive volume for the category. The suspensions are configured with 110 mm in the front and 135 mm in the rear, and the vehicle uses all-terrain tires on 15-inch wheels in the front and 14 inches in the rear, designed to offer greater comfort on uneven surfaces compared to conventional scooters.
The new scooter will be available in three colors: Space Silver, Epoxy Gray, and Night Black, with sales scheduled to begin on August 10th. The technical sheet details that the dry weight is 188 kg, the seat height is 790 mm, and the minimum ground clearance is 150 mm.
The satellite internet service Starlink is constantly expanding in Brazil, consolidating itself as the 13th largest fixed broadband provider in the country, according to Ookla data. Currently, the company has 791 thousand subscribers, although Starlink itself mentions a total of 1 million subscribers.
Starlink's growth is particularly notable in the rural segment, where it surpasses the market share of established competitors like Claro and Vivo. It is estimated that in the first half of 2026, Starlink will hold 9.34% of the fixed broadband market in Brazilian rural regions. In contrast, Claro and Vivo register shares of 6.52% and 5.4%, respectively.
Although Starlink also has a relevant subscriber base in large urban centers, such as São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, its penetration in these locations is lower (1.34%) compared to the rural scenario. Ookla attributes this difference to the fact that fiber optic deployment is much more extensive in urban areas.
Between May 2025 and May 2026, there was an 8.3% growth in Starlink's rural customers, while Vivo registered an increase of 9.88% in the urban segment. Regarding speed, Starlink presents average download speeds that are below the fiber optic services offered by competitors.
Ookla points out that, in both urban and rural areas, Starlink users frequently find download rates between 50 and 200 Mb/s, rarely exceeding 300 Mb/s. On the other hand, Claro, Vivo, and TIM, which predominantly use fiber optics, can deliver speeds ranging from 300 Mb/s to 1 Gb/s, depending on the contracted plan.
Technically, satellite internet operation is more complex, and Starlink network capabilities tend to decrease as the customer base expands and more devices are connected simultaneously. Specifically, Starlink's average download rate in Brazil was 149.5 Mb/s during the early morning hours, dropping to 90.6 Mb/s at 1:00 PM, according to the first quarter of 2026. Despite this, for many residents in rural areas, the Starlink service represents the only viable option, being considered superior in quality and availability compared to local providers.
Kevin Warsh acknowledged that the Committee meeting was not unanimous, describing the discussions as a true 'family dispute'. The Committee's final decision was not unanimous, recording three dissenting votes and nine votes in favor of maintaining interest rates.
Although he framed the debates as 'active and robust', Warsh did not elaborate extensively on the reasons for the disagreement, stating his belief that his team is best positioned to define the direction of monetary policy. Inflation has exceeded the central bank's target for over five years. The war in Iran contributed to economic uncertainty and drove up energy prices, intensifying inflationary pressure and creating a dilemma for Federal Reserve decision-makers. Hammack, Kashkari, and Logan had already expressed willingness to raise interest rates to combat high prices, according to the Associated Press.
