Representatives of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Almaty were present at the event, which highlighted the mutual interest of both countries in expanding tourism and business cooperation.
During the presentation, FlyArystan outlined the opportunities provided by the new direction. In turn, representatives of the Arda Khiva tourism complex demonstrated the tourist potential of the Khorezm region and special offers for the airline's passengers. These travel packages include guide services and accommodation.
The organizers noted that Urgench is approximately 30 kilometers from the ancient city of Khiva, whose historical center is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Earlier this month, FlyArystan and the Arda Khiva tourism complex signed a memorandum of cooperation, and the presentation in Almaty was another step in implementing the agreements reached.
Regular direct flights on the Almaty–Urgench–Almaty route will begin on September 3. The service will operate twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays. Tickets are already available on the FlyArystan mobile application, the airline's official website, and through other booking channels.

The new route will operate in charter flight format twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays, using Airbus A320 aircraft.
The launch of this route is another step in expanding air connections between Armenia and Uzbekistan. FlyOne Armenia has become the second Armenian airline to operate direct flights on this route. Previously, on June 2, 2026, the airline Shirak Avia began regular flights between Tashkent and Yerevan.
The appearance of a second airline on this route indicates a growing demand for air travel between the two countries. This contributes to strengthening business and tourist ties, as well as providing passengers with more travel options.
FlyOne Armenia is the largest budget airline in Armenia. Based at Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan, the carrier is part of the FlyOne Group and operates regular and charter flights to many destinations in Europe, Russia, the Middle East, and Asia.
