The National Agency for Social Protection of Uzbekistan held a meeting with representatives from the World Bank, UNICEF, consultants from Oxford Policy Management (OPM), and relevant departments of the Agency. The purpose of the meeting was to analyze the results of the expert assessment and discuss further steps to improve the quality of social services within the INSON project.
Details of the INSON Project
The event took place as part of the INSON project, which is implemented by the Agency with the support of the World Bank and in accordance with an agreement with UNICEF. OPM specialists provide expert assistance in two main areas.
Main Areas of Work
The first area focuses on assessing the needs of children and families in the field of social services, as well as developing a concept for a basic package of such services. The second area includes analyzing case management processes, taking into account social risks, client routes, and the quality of provided services, while improving social work mechanisms at the mahalla level.
Discussed Results and Goals
During the meeting, participants reviewed the findings of the assessment and discussed issues related to organizing case management, methods for identifying and assessing the needs of different population groups, and integrating solutions developed by the Agency's departments into a unified system for providing social services. Participants noted that this cooperation aims to increase the efficiency and quality of social services at the mahalla level by applying international experience for more timely and targeted support for families in need.
