Caixa Econômica Federal has made available a test version of its new mobile application, accessible to Android users, which allows customers to activate access without needing to go to a physical branch.
Features of the new version
This new iteration, published on the Google Play Store under the name 'Novo App Caixa' (New Caixa App), features a main screen with direct shortcuts to services such as Pix Area, Payment, Cards, and Statement. Additionally, it includes an area called My Caixa, which provides detailed summaries of loans and credit cards held by the customer with the bank.
Security and usability features
The application incorporates several modern features, including a dark mode that adapts to the device's interface settings, and facial biometrics functionality for the registration process. For login, the system uses the CPF along with a six-digit password.
Deployment and reactions
Although Caixa Econômica Federal is developing a complete version for its entire base of 158 million customers, a definitive launch date has not yet been set. Customers have already expressed satisfaction with the project on social media. For example, Vinicius Peres commented that the application finally resembles a 'real banking app'. Another user, Filipe Ramon, praised the inclusion of facial biometrics, whose registration requires the user to receive a code via WhatsApp before performing the facial verification within the official application.
