Start of the 'Gardens of Friendship' Project Implementation in Afghanistan to Develop Agricultural Cooperation

The practical implementation of the 'Gardens of Friendship' project, aimed at strengthening agricultural interaction between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, has begun in the Faryab province of Afghanistan.

Project Launch Details

This project is being implemented by LLC 'Agrosanoat Innovatorlari' with the support of the Agency for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan. The initiative was launched during a visit of a delegation from the government of Uzbekistan to Afghanistan, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjayev.

Goals and Progress of Work

The main goal of the project is to stimulate agricultural partnership, introduce modern horticultural technologies, and expand practical exchange between the two countries. On July 28, official coordinates were determined and a 'Garden of Friendship' project sign was installed in the Khan Charbagh district of Faryab province, which will cover an area of 60 hectares. On the same day, a foundation-laying ceremony took place, marking the transition of the project into its active phase.

This initiative provides for the exchange of agricultural experience and the adoption of advanced agricultural technologies, striving to bring Uzbek-Afghan agricultural cooperation to a qualitatively new level.
