This prestigious forum gathered heads of sports ministries from various countries, leaders of international sports organizations, industry experts, and representatives of technology companies.
The Minister of Sport of Uzbekistan, Adham Ikromov, participated in the summit events and delivered a report at the session dedicated to 'Shaping the Future of Phygital Sports.'
The conference discussed issues such as the development of phygital sports, the integration of traditional sports with digital technologies, support for youth sports, the implementation of artificial intelligence and innovative solutions in the sports sector, as well as strengthening international cooperation.
It was also recalled that within the framework of the 'Future Games', which will take place from July 29 to August 9, athletes from 35 countries will participate in competitions across eight disciplines. More than 800 athletes will compete for victory in these tournaments.
Regional streetball competitions were held in the Syrdarya region as part of the 'Besh Tashabbus Olympiad'. The events took place at a Type 4 sports complex located at the Olympic and Paralympic Sports Training Center in Guliston city.
The strongest teams that won the preliminary rounds held in all cities and districts of the region participated in the bellashuvas. The competitions were organized for boys and girls in age groups 16–21 and 22–30 years old.
Each match was characterized by intense competition, high speed, and fair play. Participants demonstrated their physical fitness, technical skill, culture of teamwork, and desire to win.
Special attention is paid in the country to attracting youth to mass sports, meaningfully organizing their free time, and promoting a healthy lifestyle. The 'Besh Tashabbus Olympiad', serving these noble goals, is important not only for identifying talented athletes but also for developing the mass sports movement in the regions.
Following hot and fair matches, in the 16–21 age group among boys, teams from Boyovut district won, and among girls, teams from Guliston district won. In the 22–30 age category, teams from Guliston district became winners among boys and teams from Syrdarya district among girls.
At the end of the competitions, the winning and prize-winning teams were awarded diplomas, medals, and souvenirs. Teams that took prize places at the regional level will now represent the Syrdarya region at the republican stage of the 'Besh Tashabbus Olympiad'. The republican competitions for girls will take place in Khorezm region, and the bellashuvas for boys will be held in Syrdarya region.
Fifty-seven days before the start of the Summer Asian Games 'Aichi-Nagoya-2026', drawing ceremonies for relevant sports organizations and team representatives in various sports are being held by the organizing committee.
According to the draw results, the women's national football team of Uzbekistan has been placed in Group 'G' along with teams from Hong Kong, the Philippines, and China.
Additionally, the list of opponents for the women's national handball team at the continental competitions has been determined. Within the handball competitions, which will be held in a round-robin format at the 20th Asian Games, the women's national team will compete against teams from Japan, South Korea, Kazakhstan, China, Hong Kong, and Vietnam.
The Central Asia Beach Volleyball Championship is scheduled to take place in Tashkent from July 25 to 27 of this year. This tournament will serve as a tool for strong Central Asian national teams to determine regional leaders and accumulate rating points necessary for participation in the 2028 Summer Olympics.
Participation in this prestigious competition will allow leading Central Asian teams to compete not only for the championship title but also for important international rating points. These points are significant because they open the path to the qualification rounds of the Summer Olympics, which will be held in Los Angeles in 2028.
Teams that finish first and second at the CAVA Championship will receive a direct pass to the Asian Beach Volleyball Championship. Currently, the Ministry of Sport and the Uzbekistan Volleyball Federation are conducting comprehensive work to organize this significant event at the highest level on the sports grounds of Tashkent.
