Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced on Wednesday that it has secured a major contract to undertake the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of key infrastructure for crude oil exports from Kuwait Oil Company (KOC). This project aligns with the Gulf country's plans to increase hydrocarbon production capacities.
Project Details and Contract Value
The contract was awarded to L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore division. It involves the EPC of six new crude oil storage tanks, each designed with an operational capacity of 618,000 barrels. Furthermore, ancillary facilities will be constructed as part of the project based on a fixed-price, full-cycle system.
According to the company, this order could reach a value of up to 10,000 crore rupees. L&T noted that this contract confirms sustained demand for large-scale hydrocarbon infrastructure projects in West Asia and strengthens the company's position in executing complex EPC projects in the oil and gas sector.

E S Sathyanarayanan, Senior Vice President and Head of L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore, stated that developing the export infrastructure for Jurassic Light Oil is a significant investment in Kuwait's energy sector. He emphasized the company's commitment to supporting the country's energy goals through reliable and first-class project execution.
