The process of effectively working with public appeals, finding solutions to problems, and eliminating their causes plays an important role. For this reason, at the meeting of the Committee on Labor, Health, and Social Issues of the Legislative Chamber of the Supreme Assembly, information was heard regarding the handling of appeals from individuals and legal entities by various departments.

Departments' activities were analyzed

Particular attention was paid during this meeting to the appeal handling practices of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Poverty Reduction and Employment, the National Social Protection Agency, and the Migration Agency. The committee members extensively analyzed the implementation of these tasks at the local level, the quality of reviewing appeals, the practical effectiveness of adopted decisions, and the factors causing recurring appeals.

Statistics on Appeals

According to the data presented to the committee, during the first half of 2026, over 45 thousand appeals were received by the Ministry of Health system, nearly 54.5 thousand by the Ministry of Poverty Reduction and Employment, over 95 thousand by the National Social Protection Agency, and nearly 44.5 thousand by the Migration Agency. It was noted that positive results were achieved for the majority of these appeals.

Deputies' Discussions

During the discussions, deputies asked many questions regarding the nature of the appeals, the reasons for their occurrence, the situation across regions, the dynamics of recurring appeals, and the effectiveness of measures taken by the responsible agencies. Furthermore, the necessity of thoroughly studying each appeal, eliminating its causes, and preventing recurring appeals was emphasized.

It was stated that regular parliamentary oversight in this area, as well as improving legislative and practical mechanisms for continuously identifying and eliminating systemic problems, is necessary.

During the work of the working group in the Samarkand region, the group leader, Chairman of the Neighborhoods Society of Uzbekistan, K. Quronboev, held a meeting with young people in the city of Samarkand. This meeting took place in an atmosphere of openness and sincerity, during which the problems worrying the youth, as well as their suggestions and initiatives, were heard.

Kharamon Quronboev paid special attention to each problem and gave instructions to responsible persons for its positive resolution, defining the necessary measures. In particular, the youth of the Maroqand neighborhood in the city put forward an initiative to create a modern library in the neighborhood. A spiritual and educational meeting and discussion titled 'Family is a Sacred Temple, Divorce is Not the Solution' took place in Okoltinsky District with the aim of strengthening the institution of family, preventing divorces, and promoting family values.

The event was attended by the Deputy Head of Syrdarya Region, the Head of the Department of Family and Women, the head of the district imamate, activists of the 'Oqila Ayollar' movement, mahalla heads, and representatives of relevant organizations. During the meeting, the sanctity of the family, mutual respect and responsibility between spouses, the importance of a healthy spiritual environment in raising children, and the negative consequences of divorce were discussed in detail.

Methods of Conflict Resolution

It was emphasized that family disagreements can be overcome through mutual communication, mercy, and patience, as every preserved family is an important guarantee of children's happiness, tranquility in the mahalla, and societal stability.

Individual Work with Families

As part of the event, individual conversations were held with families on the verge of divorce, and their problems were studied in depth. During these meetings, participants were provided with legal, psychological, and spiritual consultations, as well as practical recommendations for restoring family relationships.

Results of Family Work

Consultations were conducted with four families following the work. As a result, one family managed to restore its relationship, another family was given time to restore its relationship, and two other families were provided with legal clarifications and corresponding recommendations.

Work with Vulnerable Groups

The event also included a meeting with women who had experienced pressure and violence, and who belong to the social risk group, at the 'Yangi Davr' mahalla citizen assembly. The Deputy Head of Syrdarya Region, Nargiza Tozhiboeva, personally familiarized herself with the living conditions and problems of these women, determining appropriate measures for each case.

Support and Opportunities for Women

During the meetings, women were provided with detailed explanations about the procedure for obtaining a 'Protective Order,' mechanisms for protecting their legal rights and interests, as well as measures for psychological and social support. Furthermore, information was presented about existing opportunities for women to learn crafts, secure employment, and start entrepreneurial activities.

Nargiza Tozhiboeva, Deputy Head of Syrdarya Region and Head of the Department of Family and Women, noted that the main goal of this meeting, held with the participation of the Deputy Head of Syrdarya Region, was to study the problems of families on the verge of divorce, support them in legal, psychological, and spiritual aspects, and most importantly, help in preserving families. She added that such targeted meetings allow for an individual approach to each situation, identifying the root causes of disagreements and resolving them through reconciliation. According to her, the results of today's discussions demonstrated that preventive work bears fruit, as one family was restored, and another family was given time to mend their relationship. She stressed that every preserved family is an important guarantee of children's happiness, public order, and societal stability. Therefore, such meetings and events to strengthen the family will continue consistently.
