Consolidated net profit attributable to shareholders of Hindustan Unilever (HUL) decreased by 3% in the first quarter of FY27 (April-June quarter). This decline was attributed to a one-time tax credit recorded in the same period last year.

Комментарии руководства
Priya Nair noted that HUL generated a turnover of ₹17,184 crores and achieved 10% USG, which was fueled equally by both volume and price increases. She emphasized that this performance represents the highest growth recorded over the past thirteen quarters, reflecting the strength of their brands, the enhanced competitiveness of their product range, and the disciplined implementation of strategic goals.
Стратегическое развитие и сегменты
The company is actively scaling its investments across market development, channel expansion, and portfolio transformation to build a more robust and future-ready business. While navigating the current short-term dynamic environment, the focus remains on achieving revenue growth driven by volume. Furthermore, the maker of Dove soaps reported that its EBITDA margin stood at 23%, staying within the projected range despite operational volatility.
Segment performance varied: the home care category saw 14% underlying sales growth, marking its best growth in three years and reinforcing its market leadership. Beauty & Wellbeing registered 12% underlying sales growth, whereas personal care experienced 4% underlying sales growth, which was primarily influenced by pricing due to persistent palm oil inflation for the second consecutive year. Finally, the foods category recorded an underlying sales growth of 7%, driven by mid-single-digit underlying volume growth.
