The plans were discussed at the Global Business Services Forum 2026 during a meeting between the Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, and the Director of Operational Excellence of Trenkwalder Group, Emrah Dinç. The parties discussed the prospects of launching the company's activities in Uzbekistan, further steps for project implementation, and opportunities for long-term cooperation in the field of Global Business Services (GBS).
Trenkwalder Group, founded in 1985, provides human resources management and business process outsourcing services. It operates in 16 European countries, has about 200 offices, and more than 20,000 employees. The company's annual turnover exceeds 700 million euros. Trenkwalder holds leading positions in the HR service markets of Austria and Hungary and is part of the international investment group Droege Group.
Company representatives stated that they view Uzbekistan as a base for attracting personnel to serve international clients, as well as for housing BPO and back-office service centers. At the initial stage, Trenkwalder Group plans to form a team of 100 specialists with the possibility of subsequent business expansion.
Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan presented the country's opportunities for creating export-oriented service centers. Aspects such as workforce qualification, state support measures, and conditions for international corporations were discussed. The meeting was also dedicated to organizing activities, developing BPO business, and preparing a roadmap for Trenkwalder Group's entry into the Uzbek market.
The Ministry noted that the potential launch of Trenkwalder Group's operations could contribute to the creation of new highly qualified jobs, an increase in BPO service exports, and the expansion of interaction between Uzbekistan and European companies in the fields of HR and outsourcing.
The company Sonect officially announced its entry into the Uzbekistan market during the Global Business Services Forum (GBSF) 2026.
At the forum, a meeting took place between the Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, and the CEO of Sonect, Ekaterina Osina. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the company's plans for launching operations in the country and its future development.
Participants noted that the decision to enter the Uzbek market resulted from previous negotiations held in both Moscow and Tashkent. At the GBSF 2026 event, the company also presented its rebranding and officially announced the start of its operations in Uzbekistan.
The parties reviewed projects for establishing operational centers in the cities of Tashkent, Samarkand, and Fergana. Furthermore, issues regarding the training of qualified personnel, providing services to international clients, and utilizing support mechanisms offered by the IT Park Uzbekistan ecosystem were discussed.
The Ministry of Digital Technologies stated that the appearance of Sonect in Uzbekistan is a practical result of the international efforts of IT Park Uzbekistan. It is expected that this will strengthen the country's status as a regional hub for global business services and business process outsourcing (BPO).
